About the Journal

Sinwan is an open access, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal publishing biannually in fields related to the social sciences and humanities addressing issues of sustainability. It represents a local and regional platform to advance understanding of the social, cultural, economic and political dimensions of sustainability, sustainable development and relevant challenges. It welcomes academic contributions from disciplines including, but not limited to, anthropology, sociology, geography, economics, political science, international relations, history, philosophy, arts and literature.

Articles submitted for publication should provide significant theoretical insights and advance conceptual understanding of relevant issues. The journal also encourages submissions furthering interdisciplinary approaches, innovative methodologies and comparative perspectives in analyzing sustainability challenges. Priority will be given to works with direct policy, social change and practical solution implications.

Through its interdisciplinary focus, Sinwan seeks to catalyze dialogue and collaboration across the humanities, social sciences and environmental disciplines. It aims to demonstrate the vital contributions these fields can make in addressing the profound sustainability issues confronting societies today and in the future.
